Hello,
how can I define the simple gallery URLs for the albums instead of the default albumid/xxx/, please?

Good question, there isn't anything in the module at the moment. But what would you want them to be? It would need to be something unique.
The album name is an obvious candidate, and that is unique, I guess. Or together with thte albumid, although I would tend to avoid that if possible.
Album name isn't unique in the module, especially with hierarchical albums (that's why the ID is included in the URL)
